This is Only A Test

When your devotion to God is tested, it’s not to destroy you—it’s to develop you.

Daniel’s devotion was consistent, even under pressure. When the decree was signed forbidding prayer, he didn’t protest, he just kept praying. He opened the same window, knelt in the same place, and talked to the same God. His faith wasn’t loud, but it was steady. When culture said “stop,” Daniel stayed faithful.

“When Daniel learned that the decree had been published… three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed… just as he had done before.” — Daniel 6:10

That’s the heart of this story. Every blessing must be tested before it can be trusted. The setup wasn’t meant to destroy Daniel, it was meant to develop him. God didn’t keep him out of the lions’ den; He shut the lions’ mouths inside it. The king stayed up worrying, but Daniel slept in peace. The difference? Daniel knew Who held the outcome.

Here’s the challenge: when life feels like a test, don’t panic, pray. Don’t let pressure push you away from God; let it drive you to your knees. The same God who kept Daniel in the den is still keeping His people today. This is only a test, and you’re coming out stronger than before.
