Thrive Forward

Thriving isn’t about holding tighter — it’s about learning to let go.

We live in a world addicted to holding on. We grip tightly to pain as if it proves our worth. We cling to failures as if they define us. We even idolize past victories as if yesterday’s success can carry us through tomorrow. But Paul offers a better way:

“But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead…” – Philippians 3:13

Thriving forward begins with release. Letting go isn’t forgetting, it’s trusting that your past was preparation, not a prison. Then comes the reach — leaning into God’s calling with intention and courage. Just like an athlete straining at the finish line, we step into purpose not by accident but by pursuit.

Finally, Paul reminds us to run with persistence. Life has detours, but persistence keeps pressing on. When you stumble, God’s grace doesn’t cancel your destination — it simply says, “Rerouting.”

Here’s the encouragement for this week: don’t stay stuck. Release what’s behind you. Reach toward what God has set before you. And keep running, even when it’s hard. You cannot thrive by standing still — but you can thrive forward.
