Model
A disciple is a learner who follows Jesus and learns how to live life from Him.
We often reduce discipleship to Sunday services or spiritual content, but Jesus modeled something much deeper. He prayed UP to His Father. He built relationships IN with His disciples. And He reached OUT to heal and restore the world.
That’s the model: UP, IN, OUT. Intimacy with God. Community with others. Mission to the world.
Here’s the challenge: discipleship isn’t a spectator sport. It’s not about consuming content, but living a life that others can imitate as you imitate Christ. The gospel comes to you on its way to someone else.
So this week, commit to a next step. Join an Outpost. Sign up for Rooted. Say 'yes' to Jesus. Discipleship begins when we stop standing on the sidelines and start walking where Jesus leads.
“One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.” – Luke 6:12
“When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them…” – Luke 6:13
“He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there…” – Luke 6:17
