No Squares in My Circle

You can’t thrive if you keep inviting fools into your circle.

We live in a world that often confuses popularity with purpose. But Scripture cuts through the noise:

“Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” – Proverbs 13:20

Friendships aren’t neutral — they are formational. The people in your circle will either sharpen your faith, strengthen your character, and call you higher… or they’ll distract, drain, and derail you. That’s why Solomon tells us to be intentional about who we walk with.

Here’s the truth: wisdom is contagious, and so is foolishness. Some friends challenge you toward growth. Others normalize patterns that keep you stuck. That’s why thriving isn’t just about trying harder — it’s about walking wisely.

So here’s the challenge this week: do a circle audit.
  • Who sharpens you?
  • Who drains you?
  • Who is growing with you?

Your next season might not require more effort. It might just require better friends.
